Tape Partner ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile and web application.

- Scene content: Script text, character names, and project names you enter into the app.
- Video recordings: Self-tape videos you record within the app are uploaded and stored on our servers.
- Usage data: Basic analytics about how you use the app (e.g. features used, session length) to improve the product.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device type for compatibility and debugging.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Tape Partner service.
- To store your scenes, takes, and rehearsal settings securely.
- To send important service-related communications (e.g. account updates).
- To process subscription payments and manage your account.
- To respond to customer support requests.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Video & Audio Data
Videos recorded within Tape Partner are uploaded to secure cloud storage. Your recordings are private — only you can access them through your account. We do not view, share, or use your recorded performances for any purpose other than storage and delivery back to you.
AI-generated dialogue is processed via the ElevenLabs API. Your script text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate speech, subject to ElevenLabs' Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual recordings and scenes at any time within the app. To request full account deletion, contact us at support@tapepartner.app and we will remove all your data within 30 days.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) in transit and secure cloud infrastructure for storage. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorised personnel. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
6. Third-Party Services
Tape Partner uses the following third-party services:
- Base44 — App infrastructure and authentication.
- ElevenLabs — AI voice generation for scene partner dialogue.
- Stripe — Subscription payment processing.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format).
